Since December 2017, the exclusive collection of Travel Trunks is on display at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam featuring, among others, Franklin D Roosevelt’s Wardrobe Trunk, pieces from the RMS Titanic, Ernest Hemingway’s Library Trunk and Judy Garland’s shoe trunk. It took a Swedish collector many years to collect a beautiful array of these special handmade massive trunks that are now on show. Those wooden framed travel trunks were the beginning of the well-known LV – brand dating back to the 1850s. Nevertheless, everything started with high-quality travel equipment and luggage.
